IKEA UK launched a brand new store in Sheffield, a town known in part for peregrine falcons, who first bred there in 2012 and have become beloved figures. As our gift to the city, in collaboration with local artist Jason Heppenstall, we have brought to life Sheffield’s most famous falcon with a little help from an icon of our own. Meet Allen the Peregrine, a 7-metre wide falcon made from over 17,000 IKEA allen keys. The majestic creation stands proudly in Sheaf Square, just outside Sheffield’s main station as a joint symbol of the town and the new store.

For the opening of IKEA Greenwich, IKEA’s most sustainable store, we created a functional Out-Of-Home campaign with an ecological twist, by asking people to walk to IKEA - or to choose another sustainable way to get to the new store. With the help from London Quest immersive events team, we calculated the exact amount of foot steps needed between each poster site and IKEA Greenwich, creating a hundred unique sign posts to guide people to the new store.
